Pavlina: Life is Not For the Living

First of all, in total support of BCA month, I am pledged to wear some kind of pink everyday. A tall order. Especially since like I already said, pink really isn’t my color although I seem to have A LOT of it.

So I am wearing a pink top (that I made, I’ll put up a picture some time), jeans, white ankle socks with pink flowers and my Dansko clogs. That’s my clothes.

On my face I am wearing my beloved Estee lauder individualist foundation in Shell Beige. This is the most perfect foundation I have used; I like it better than my old-beloved Virtual skin. I use it over Smashbox photo finish. Anyway lets talk about the color. On my eyes is Majolica Majorca eye shadow in SV821 (that’s the taupe silver) with MAC pigment Sunpepper over it; so beautiful those two together. I am wearing Bella il Fiore Jewel Dust in Genie in a Bottle which is a pale opalescent pink. I love this stuff, I reviewed it on Makeup Alley, you can see the review here.

Then I am using my NEW Mac LiquidLast eyeliner in Powerplum. I have wanted plum/violet eyeliner. I have a cake one from Clinique that is a nice violet shade. I wanted liquid eyeliner that I could travel with, I don’t travel with my cake and gel eyeliners because I don’t have a travel eyeliner brush. The Powerplum liner is a beautiful color. The formulation of the LiquidLast liners is a bit sticky/goopy and that really allows you to draw a very precise line right on your lash line. I hate the liquid liners that are too runny, and they just smudge everywhere. This is very easy to apply.

The big news is that I am doing a nude lip today! Yay! I found the perfect nude lip colors. I have The Body Shop lipstick in #26 – fawn and The Body Shop liquid lip color (gloss) in #14-Bronzed. The Body Shop just re-did their make up, and I wanted to stop by after the ladies at Lipgloss and Laptopstalked about the eye shadow. Well, I am not allowed to buy any eye shadow, but I did want more lip color after throwing out all those old glosses. I love these colors. I had to buy them together as the lip gloss just added this lovely sheen to the lipstick. These go on very sheer-looking, They are a beautiful cool-complement to my skin shade and they give me the perfect nude lip. I am in love.

The only thing is I forgot to buy a lip liner and I used my old stand-by which is subtly surrounded by Bloom. This color is a bit too pink and you can make out the lie around my lips. Well, I can when I look closely. So I need to get a better nude color for my skin. Thos were my product reviews: MAC LiquidLast eye liner in Power Plum, The Body Shop lipstick and Liquid lip color.

The real reason I went out shopping last night was to get my Philosophy Shower for the cure. My Sephora is a but late and they didn’t have it out yet. At first I thought they were sold out but no they just had not gotten it yet. They gave me the telephone number and said to call back today and reserve a body.

Please go and check out This is a good reference site that will really get you thinking before you go all running around spending a bunch of money on products that will benefit Breast Cancer research when some time it is just a gimmick for the company to sell you the product. By all means, buy the product if it is a staple for you, like the Chapstick or the post it notes, but please don’t buy the product just to support BCA. There are plenty of other ways to support BCA. Those are my two cents.
