C’mon, and admit it, you thought I was blog-dead…

March 26th, 2007 by Pavlina

In a way I had blog-died. I wasn’t posting to the site, all was quiet on the front. Now news is good news. Truth be told, I have been, well, tired. It is my constant state, being tired that it. Sorry about that. We could all use a bit more sleep, I’m sure.

I’ve got nothing new, no tales of woe, no new occurences. All is the same yet different.

The nanny is working out well. She is a bit shy and quite. When I consider the alternative, I am very happy. I would rather have her, shy though she is, than a nanny who would alternatively talk my ear off and berate me on everything I am doing wrong with the children. She keeps to herself on the weekends and that is also fine with me. It keep the children from clinging to her all the time, which I think would happen if she were out with us all the time. I also think she has started warming up to us a bit, so I am sure by summer she will be more chatty. That is the only gripe I have with her. She is great with the kids and I am sure that she is not beating them or neglecting them while I am away. I trust her and I feel that my children are being looked after well in her care and that is the most important thing. She reads to them, plays with them, takes them outside and playgroup. She is close to perfection and I love it.

Also, Emma has decided that she is having none of this shoe wearing nonsense. Like many parents (moms) we (I) decided to buy the soft soled shoe for her young feet. Well, she really likes them, to the point of excluding any hard sole shoe. This is a problem because those soft shoes do not perform well when it is wet out and they tend to get very damp. So, Robeez (and the many knockoffs) it is until I can trick her into wearing those cute little mary janes I got at Target.

Speaking of Target, it really is turning into Tar-zhay these days. I wanted to get this adorable little chair for the kid(s)

and it is cute, but 80 USD cute which is not very cute.

This is cute,35USD at IKEA.
