Pavlina: Life is Not For the Living

So, I couldn’t find a case for my new ipod, so I made one.

While it is cute, there are a few things I don’t like about my prototype.

1. The button closure, while cute, is not entirely functional and convenient. I find after only two days of use that it is a bit annoying. Jason’s suggestion: use an elastic loop next time instead of the twill tape and a single button.
2. I neglected to put an opening at the bottom for my headphones cable and/or sync socket. This can easily be accomplished by a small buttonhole.
3. Jason also suggested a small pocket to hold the ear buds.
4. A knit fabric may also bet better as the ipod will fit snuggly inside, instead of the pouch being all baggy.

All said and done, I am happy with it, however. When I get some time, I’ll refine the design and show you the new version. Of course, by then there may be a commercially available case that I’ll be willing to buy…or maybe not.
