In my head right now

February 22nd, 2009 by Pavlina

You don’t want to be there. I was going to post this tirade but no-one wants to hear it and I don’t want to type it. I’ll give you a picture post instead of out trip to the aquarium this weekend. I was brave and took the kids out on my own, since Jason is in England for the week. I figured we could have stayed in all weekend, or did something fun. It was our first trip to the aquarium, and I learned a lot! We went ultra-light. I didn’t take a bag or anything, I just had my ID, a credit card, some cash, a lip balm, my new camera phone and the car keys. We were able to check the coats and that was pretty sweet. I know I was not going to want to lug those around. We got there almost as soon as it opened and all the lockers were taken already. The site said no outside food, but no-one seemed to be checking and I saw plenty of people with their own food. I don’t know if I would want to lug around a big bag of food though. I should see if these is some cool bag that is easy to carry around.

All these photos I took with my new Motorola ZN5. I know I promised a full review of this phone, but I am just too lazy. It does take some nice photos, but they do show grainy when you blow them up. Let me know what you think of them. Oh, and I should also say I have all these photos hosted over at Flickr. You can get to my photostream by clicking any of the photos on my sidebar. I think technically I am meant to link back to Flickr, but I never do since they are all my own pics. If I ever posted someone else’s, I would definitely link to their photostream.

Stingray
These guys were totally photogenic! I don’t think you could ge a bad photo of them. They are Martin’s favorite and we spent a lot of time here.

kids at ray tank
Martin was taking his own pictures with his camera phone, pretty cute. It had people cracking up.

Emma at tanks
Emma is almost as photogenic as the rays.

tank
Martin took this one. I think there is meant to be a turtle in the picture, but those pesky fish swan on front of the camera right when he snapped this one.

err, fish
It’s a bit embarrassing when you read all the placards to know what you are looking at, but then you forget when you need to remember them. I have no idea what he is called, or his friends.

fish
I forgot your name too. Sorry. You are beautiful regardless.

cafeteria
The high price of lunch was made better by the fact the kids ate everything. I think all we threw away were a few lonely french fries.

me and emma
This was Emma at the lunch table, and you can see my mouth. :)

Ray
I’ll just call him Ray, since I don’t know his real name.

Emma and turtle
Emma really loved these turtles. I think she was getting pretty tired and she had just kind of hunkered down at this point, then all the turtles in the tank started to aggregate at the spot.

outta here!
And we are so out of here!
