I closed commenting on all post older than 45 days. This was done to stop the spammers. You’ll notice my Askimet widget on the side? It’s fantastic, but every so often a comment still slips in past it, and it is always on an older post. WordPress sends me an e-mail every time someone leaves me a comment, but I don’t always check my e-mail like I should. I figure no-one is really going to want to comment on one of these old posts, right? Right? I hope not.

Like a new pair of shoes

This whole blog-thing has really been an eye-opener for me. I went into this thinking it would be easy, but easy it was not. When I first began blogging with blogspot, that was nice but I wanted more flexibility and more, I wanted my own domain. So then I moved over here, and picked up my own domain and began using Go Daddy for a host and life was good, very good. So good it was that I set up shop here and never did change anything for almost two years. I started thinking about changing the site again, it must have been a year ago. So I started looking at various templates, and when I would visit a site I would take notice of what they were running. I like WordPress, and the more I work with it the more I like it. It is a very powerful platform, and I have fallen in love with all the widgets and plug-ins. I only have a few now, but I have my eye on a few more.

I still haven’t finished this template yet, there are a few more things I need to change. I think I found most of the dead links, but if you find one please leave me a comment.

About the RSS feed. First of all, if you subscribe to my feed, You are da’ bomb! Thanks you and it’s the very best way to read the exciting news without having to actually stop by. Of course I love when you do stop by, and that way you can see the lovely new site. If you have subscribed to my feed, you may need to go ahead and re-subscribe. All you need to do is click on the above chiclet, and your reader should automatically catch the feed.

So, I think I caught most of the errors, and I am still tweaking.

Hi! Take a look around, tell me your thoughts. Do you like it? Hate it? I hope you love it.

First, for all who are interested, the theme is Cutline, and it can be found HERE. I fell in love at first site when I found this theme. It had everything I wanted, total custom-ability, clean lines, widget ready. I love it. I have not really edited that much of it, but I just wanted to get it up on the site as soon as I got most of the things worked out. I’ll be talking a lot more about this theme in the next few months as I tweak here and there, so please do stay tuned.

You may also notice as you click around, some of the pages “lead to nowhere.” I have a few pages that I noticed were missing right away, so if you click and get the 404 error, don’t worry. I hope to have all this worked out this weekend.
