Here are the pictures from our trip to England. Enjoy!

You’ll recall this photo of us in the Dulles airport. The kids were still happy, as you can see.

This is Emma something like 12 hours later. This was her with a massive pile of luggage, of which you can see just a bit of. She was in a pretty good mood, considering. We were parked waiting for our flight on Easy Jet to open up for check in.

This was taken during our trip down south. We went to visit Jason’s nan and on the way there we stopped over at Warwick University and this photo was taken in front of the physic’s department. There is a nice garden there.

This was taken on the way up north again, we stopped in historid Durham and went to the castle which now house the university college! How exciting to live in a castle, but Jason thinks it would be nasty and drafty in the winter.

The previous photo actually was of the cathedral, this is Martin standing in front of the castle entrance, off to the side.

Martin standing in front of Durham Castle, inside the gate.

The beach in Whitley Bay. My in-laws live in Whitley Bay.
Then we drove up north to visit more family in Scotland. On the way back south we stopped in Edinburgh and visited the castle there and the high street. We didn’t go in the castle, there was a steep admission fee of 11 pounds (22 USD!!!). I was a bit sad, I really wanted to see inside an old castle and we were not able to go into Durham castle when we went due to a wedding.

That’s Emma and Jason in the alleyway!

Views of the castle from down below…beautiful.
The Jason and I went into Newcastle on our own one day.

Gosh, I look like such a tourist geek! Anyway, where else, besides England, can you find a cool, old stairway in a parking lot?

The Castle Keep in Newcastle, I was finally getting my wish! Old castle building, hooray!
And finally, two little birdies in the bird bath…
